Don't let anyone tell you what you should be doing. There is so much more to life and so many other things to be concerned about at our age. Just because you're a teen, don't let peers expect you to be having sex. Stay strong, even though they don't think that you can. You are not alone!
Think about your dreams for the future, the things you're passionate about, and the things you want to succeed at. Getting an STD or getting pregnant will change all of that. Your dreams won't matter anymore, and your youth and innocence will be gone.
Do you have questions comments or feedback about LOVE, SEX, or DATING?
I can speak from experience: when a serious relationship ends and you are left heartbroken, it is much easier to move on knowing that you didn't give that person everything. You didn't give them your virginity. You know that there is someone else out there who you are meant to be with, someone who deserves that part of you.
It's about loving yourself, respecting yourself, and protecting your future. Having sex just once could take everything away from you. If the person you're with really loves you, they'll wait for you. They'll love your soul, not just your body. They'll respect your values and dreams for the future. They won't want to risk compromising all of that for just a few moments of pleasure.
